Good morrow, folks!
It’s the weekend—at long last! I wanted to take a moment and say hello to the new followers, here at A.B.Normal Publishing, those following my author site, my Facebook friends, Twitter, Instagram, and beyond. I welcome you all to the crazy sanctuary. It’s safe to be different here. I approve of it.
For those new to what I represent, a nutshell, I love being different: break the mold, go against the grain, being the “weird kid who wears shorts in the dead of winter,” kind of deal. A.B.Normal Publishing is still picking up steam but it’s steadily being built up more. I rely on no donations. Though they are welcomed they’re never required. You can be put on our Contributor Hall of Fame page!
I offer free digital stories and poetry, encourage feedback, conversation, and a no holds barred match of having a bunch of drinks. While I offer some content for free, there is the dream where I release books in multiple formats for people to enjoy. I am by no means aiming to be a bestseller or am I looking to be among the writing legends. I just want to share stories and entertain you, the reader. If I can do that, that’s enough for me. Anything financially gained is a bonus and goes back into releasing more books, etc.
So what am I getting at here? Well, this leads me to what will be my debut novel (along with my good friend and co-author, Al Debusschere), Lilah’s Guide to Hoyle. Which brings up how I am funding it: Kickstarter.
There are platforms out there besides Kickstarter and Indiegogo that promote publishing projects and such. I believed Kickstarter to be a bit more appropriate in the event that if the project is not funded, nothing moves forward and the people who back you retain their money. So there is no loss on their part and you’re left with a heavy heart and shattered dreams. The thing you have to do is aim in-between—not too high, not too low.
As such, I am unveiling the Kickstarter rewards, giving a glimpse as to what you can expect. It’s not finalized by any means. My artist still has a lovely piece he wishes to give me and you fine folks will get that gander at its magnificence.
Some may wonder why I have a shipping date for so late (it’s December). Well, it’s because I want to give you a quality product, and make sure I don’t get into any hiccups with printing, PR, format, design, final editing, so on. It’ll also give me ample time to ship everything out to the backers with no problem, and even be gifts to that special reader in your life that wants to read something new, maybe even for Christmas, birthdays, anniversaries, or some other holidays, or just because you’re awesome.
Taken from the Kickstarter itself. It’s not live yet.

So there you have it! Things are revving up. We’re cruising and I want to again thank everyone that is following, will be new to following, and so on. Keep being strange, weird, abnormal.
I welcome those interested in asking questions or offering feedback. Especially, since I am new to Kickstarter. I don’t bite…too hard…unless you ask. 🙂
